ADF Church & Ministry Alliance is the simplest, most practical, and affordable way to help a church protect its religious freedoms. I urge you and your congregation to be a part of this partnership and assistance of devoted Christian attorneys who have and will continue to safeguard our traditions. ADF Church & Ministry Alliance helps churches get a peace of mind that comes by knowing ADF’s documents and practices are both up-to date and well positioned to safeguard the Church’s biblical standards."
Rev. Dr. Roger Paavola
District President, LCMS Mid-South District
ADF leads the way, challenge after legal challenge, uniting our organization with other ministries from across the country to help strengthen religious freedom. We have no other partner so vital to the work we do. We are grateful for them, and encourage every Christian ministry that holds to biblical standards to join with ADF and help support them financially. When there’s a need — and there are plenty — they stand in the gap and support our Christian communities."
David Goodwin
President, Association of Classical Christian Schools
Without question, Alliance Defending Freedom is one of the most important organizations in America. I not only endorse their ministry, but am happy to serve on the faculty of their Blackstone Legal Academy program. They are the premier religious liberty advocacy organization in America and their Church & Ministry Alliance program is a trusted measure to ensure that churches are pursuing the necessary policies to protect their God-given liberties."
Dr. Andrew T. Walker
Associate Professor, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
ADF Church & Ministry Alliance members must be aligned with our statement of faith which consists of the Apostle’s Creed and a set of ADF Doctrinal Distinctives. The alliance comprises a wide variety of ministry types, but all hold these same fundamental truths.
This statement is essential for all churches and ministries to read and agree with before becoming members. Click here to read the statement.
In general, ADF Church & Ministry Alliance attorneys are available to provide pro-bono, limited scope, religious liberty legal services upon request from church and ministry members. To better understand the types of legal matters we help with, click here to see our scope of services.
ADF has the sole authority to determine whether a request for advice or representation falls within the scope of services offered.
These services which can be requested by a member of the ADF Church & Ministry Alliance are in addition to the many resources and guides available to members on a variety of religious liberty topics and other topics impacting churches and ministries.
The membership application gathers a small amount of information about you and your ministry that ensures you receive membership benefits. The member agreement also helps us verify that your ministry subscribes to the ADF statement of faith and is the first step toward obtaining access to the ADF Church & Ministry Alliance members-only website containing the most up-to-date expert religious liberty resources.
No. The ADF Church & Ministry Alliance is not an insurance program, and Alliance Defending Freedom is not an insurance company. ADF may represent ADF Church & Ministry Alliance members in pro-bono, limited scope representations upon request or in litigation related to protecting the religious liberty of the church or ministry. However, ADF cannot guarantee legal representation in every situation and does not provide casualty payments for a lawsuit. Any legal representation undertaken by ADF is without cost to ADF Church & Ministry Alliance members.
We offer the ability to pay for your membership via credit card or ACH.
If you have more than one ministry or a church that you’d like included in your membership, you will have the opportunity to note that on the application. A member from our team will reach out after you finish your application to help walk you through the next steps.
Yes! Please email us at ChurchAlliance@adflegal.org or call us at 1-833-233-2559, and we’d be happy to help.
Any detail of that relationship would only be publicized when a member gives ADF express permission to use their name and/or endorsement of the program in our media/marketing materials. But that is only done with full knowledge and consent of the member. Members can also opt in to a Member’s Directory, but this is also entirely voluntarily.
Upon submitting your membership application, please check your email for a notice from our team that will include a link to provide more details related to your request for legal help.
Please understand that signing up for an ADF Church & Ministry Alliance membership doesn’t guarantee legal representation. ADF may review your situation to determine if ADF can assist you with the current issue, but signing up for membership is not the same as retaining an attorney for legal services. ADF has the sole authority to determine if ADF can assist an organization with request for advice or representation.
